The One and Only Staceyann Chin

She's an activist and a poet. She screams like a crazy woman on occasion and she will defend her rights to the death. Even though she's been raped, abused and discriminated against, she stands her ground. Staceyann Chin is the type of woman who would wear a gay rights personalized t-shirt into a Conservative Catholic church, because she is who she is no matter where she goes. No matter who tries to stop her.

Which is one reason that I love her. And I'm posting this poem from her for all of you to watch, hopefully you'll get shivers the way I do when I listen to her and maybe you'll check out her other poems. Each one of her verses are equally awe-inspiring. All of them mean something more than your average rhyme.
