A popular German publisher was looking to promote themselves at a major book fair in Frankfurt. Instead of handing out promotional products or printing up customized pens, they drew in customers the unconventional way: with 200 flies.
The regular houseflies were outfitted with super lightweight logo banners that had the booth location and publisher's information printed in an easy to read design. Then trade show goers were invited to help launch the flies which freely flew around the exhibition hall for the rest of the day, putting the traditional booths to shame.
But don't worry about those little fly guys. The banners were attached with natural wax which wore off after a few hours, letting the flies live nice, long, happy banner-less fly lives.
