Day two of the Aflac Pit Stop Tour zoomed by, but not without a quick check at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, Manhattan. Here is a look at all the different festivities including great promotions that got the attention of visitors. As you look around you can see that the real attention grabber were the Aflac promotional plush ducks which surrounded the Hard Rock Cafe.

Making A Pit Stop - Nascar Day 1
Aflac and Nascar have teamed up for Champions Week in NYC this event is designed to showcase NASCAR stock cars. By stopping by various "Aflac Pit Stop Locations" you can have the chance to pick up some real awesome promotions.
These locations are all over Midtown Manhattan including, Times Square, Bryant Park, and Madison Square Park. Here is a look at the Pit Stop in Bryant Park. Promotional plush ducks were just one of the items featured at the Pit Stop.

Make Your Mark
In germany, edding markers showed how they work on any surface. As the image from the projection hit the side of the different buildings it looked as if the different buildings had been written on.
Being able to write on any surface is the message that edding markers were trying convey. Perhaps removable graffiti is the next great promotional campaign. It would have been an even greater promotion with promotional markers.

Dances with the Luggage
This is a great video of Expedia.com's guerilla marketing campaign, out on 34th street. They put together a dance team that took many people by surprise. This was a great way to catch people off guard. Though I hope that next time they would hand out some promotional luggage tags to really carry the point across.
All in all this was a brilliantly launched campaign. New York City has street performers all the time, especially in the area of 34th street. The bright yellow outfits and matching luggage really stood out in this campaign. It played upon the daily routine but was still able to dance the message home.

Shoppers Bring Brand Recognition With Popular Promotional Bag
A recognizable blue shopping bag, is a trade mark of Ikea. These promotional eco-friendly bags are great marketing tools as shoppers enter New York City's Port Authority bus terminal. These shoppers arrived after taking the free Ikea bus to their Paramus location.

ad:tech New York 2007: Stress Ball Yo-Yo Grabs Attention
Our director of marketing and merchandising, Mark Yokoyama, went to ad-tech NY this week and shot some great footage of some promotional products in action. No More Landing Pages had a really popular one. Mark said everywhere he went he saw these promotional stress ball yo-yos.
